Nearly 16,000 youth have participated during the academic year 2007/08 in the 189 different activities organized La Nave from September 2007 to July 2008.

This center, under the Department of Youth and Employment, headed Dolores Sanchez, has facilitated and encouraged the development of youth projects through exhibitions, courses, workshops, theatrical performances and cultural festivals.

Were also held conferences, seminars, meetings, music concerts, sports, audiovisual, to add more than 189 different activities from 2007 -50, which is 35% -.

The Ship is a space for direct and active participation of some 50 associations and youth groups, social and cultural city of Murcia are in the youth resource center's base of operations to implement its activities, maintain its operations and develop their own projects.

The targets set for the Municipal Center SHIP are:

• To promote participation, support the operation and activities of groups, collectives and associations of the municipality acting in the field of youth, solidarity and volunteering.

• Open channels of dissemination and promotion of young artists in different aspects of youth culture: music, performing arts, photography, painting, sculpture, comics, design, ...

Facilitate resources and facilities for training and education of youth through education and counseling center, youth information point, use of new technologies for communication, ...

• Promoting use of creative and educational entertainment, using their free time as a period of fun and, at the same time, training in values and healthy activities.

In the 1,200 m2 SHIP Municipal Center, are the infrastructure needed to develop the following programs stable services:

· Center for Studies and Training for Youth Participation.

· Advice and technical assistance for youth associations.

· Equipment to associations, groups and youth groups.

· Points of youth information and youth counseling.

· Classroom free computer access

· Space for cultural productions, music, theater and dance.

The new space young La Nave began in 2007 their new venture, following its change of location and facilities at a warehouse located in the Polygon Camposol, Bacons Bridge, 500 meters from the old equipment and very close to Avenida Miguel Indurain, communications hub and commercial area of the city to the east.
