The Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Immigration contribute 2,731,639 euros this year to develop policies regarding primary care services in the municipality of Murcia, with 2008 additional protocol to the agreement signed in 2007 with the City contributing with 910,546 euros.

The document has been signed by the Minister Joaquin Bascuñana and Murcia Mayor Miguel Ángel Cámara.

This agreement also involved the Ministry of Social Affairs, particularly in the maintenance of primary care.

These amounts are divided into three chapters: maintenance of social service centers Primary Care (1,466,713 euros which provide the Community and the Ministry, and another 488,904 euros the City of Murcia), development of home help services (1,128 .964 Community and Ministry, and 376,321 the City) and Accompaniment Program for Social Inclusion (135,962 and 45,321 Community-Ministry Consistory Murcia).

For 2008, funding for primary care by the Ministry amounted to 11,564,832 euros, while in 2007 was 10,500,827, which means that this year the increase compared with the previous registration was 10 , 13 percent, equivalent to 1,064,005 euros.

In turn, these quantities, only the Concerted Plan of Basic, is funded by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, which gives 2,805,019 euros, slightly less than 25 percent of the credits transferred to local authorities.
