The Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, received this morning in his office at the end of the contest Murcia "What is a king for you?", Joaquín Fernández Lagares, 12, a pupil of the school Santa Maria de la Paz.
The work that has earned the award was entitled "The balance between regions, and, as explained by its author to the Mayor, representing Don Juan Carlos as responsible for having built such a balance in today's Spain.
About 3,100 works have attended this year's edition of the contest, organized by the Spanish Institutional Foundation.
Of these, 54 have been awarded, receiving a special recognition presented by Joaquín Fernández.
The protagonist of this event has come to the City Council accompanied by a parent, the teacher who has led the work, Lola M ª González, and the delegate in Murcia Spanish Institutional Foundation.
The youngest winner at the Mayor explained the process followed to develop the work with which attended the contest and allowed him to be received by the King of Spain last day 16 with other children from other regions.
Also, Joaquín Fernández has given the Mayor a reproduction of his work dedicated.
