The planned activities are aimed at children between 6 and 14 years.
The Department of Social Services, which runs Fulgencio Cervantes, claims that children participate in recreational activities, sports and education by offering them the opportunity to have new experiences, make new friends, interact with peers and learn other entertainment options.
Likewise, this initiative promotes the participation of groups, associations, organizations and volunteer of the various districts and villages.
In the summer schools organized sports, juggling workshops, tattoos, beads, leather, shirts, cooking, modeling, folders, stamped envelopes, comets, recycling, dance, drama, body language ... In addition, small pools visit city, the beach, the track Ice Elche, Ceutimagina, the fire station and other cultural visits.
The 1,740 places offered by Social Services are designed mainly to children who participate throughout the academic year in the draft Children and Youth Activities (PAI) and leisure activities organized by the Department and associations.

Of the 39 summer schools to be held, 32 are organized exclusively for Social Services (1,315 seats) and 7 are organized jointly with the Department of Celebrations and Popular Culture (425 seats).
In addition, working the Department of Urban Environment and Quality, the Department of Sports, Department of Education and Personal, Social Welfare Department and the Promotion of Equality, Municipal Boards of districts and parishes, Women's Center and Zaraiche Santiago, Centro Women's Cabezo de Torres, Coordinator of Barrios de Espinardo and voluntary associations such as urban neighborhoods of Jesus and the Coordinadora de Barrios of Los Rosales.
These summer schools are held during the months of July and August, depending on the area.
There will also be other summer activities organized by volunteer groups, technical and financial support from the Department of Health and Social Services organized by the Association Espinardo Gypsy (July and August), Volunteer San Juan (camp 19 July 25), Santiago and Zaraiche Volunteer (camp 1 to August 14) and AMPA Carolina Codorniu school.
Health and Social Services will invest 175,000 euros in these summer activities.
