The Minister of Social Policy, Women and Migration, Joaquín Bascuñana, inaugurated this morning the new headquarters of the Federation of Associations of Relatives of Patients with Alzheimer's in the Region of Murcia (Ffedarm), located in Caracas' Avenida Marqués de los Vélez, 52, where also the Alzheimer's Telephone Service.
He accompanied the general principals of Older Persons, Paloma Recio, and Persons with Disabilities of IMAS, Marisol Morente, and received him at the headquarters of President Ffedarm, Julia Fernandez.
Then, after discovering the memorial and visit Ffedarm facilities, the Minister signed the 2008 Protocol Additional to the Agreement between the region and the Federation of Associations for the development of activities and services, through which the Ministry of Social Policy will provide 192,942 euros and the Federation of Associations of Alzheimer 64,314.
The Federation partners with 2,190 built in the associations of Murcia, Lorca, Cartagena and district, Sewer, Yecla, Cieza and Molina.
As for the Alzheimer's Phone, is a project funded by the Autonomous Community and the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, within the Plan of Action for the Elderly, in operation since 2001.

With this service is to listen and support family members and caregivers of patients, provide advise on resources, and administrative procedures and to inform them about the disease
