The platform for peace in the Middle East and the Palestinian State is organizing a demonstration for next Wednesday (16/06/2008)

The platform for the Middle East peace and Palestinian statehood composed of political organizations, unions and associations, organized a demonstration for next Wednesday, June 18, at 20 am in the Square of Spain, Murcia .

This was announced today the president of the Association of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, Pedro Marset, who expressed his "profound" concern and requested the Government of Spain measures "strong" within the EU and the UN to create the Palestinian state and an end to the "ongoing violence and humanitarian catastrophe" in the area.

Marset noted that it is essential for the Israeli army's withdrawal from Palestine, the demolition of the Apartheid Wall, the return of East Jerusalem, the return of refugees or compensation for and recovery of the Palestinian-Israeli talks under of UN resolutions.
