With the aim of providing equal education opportunities for all citizens, the City of Murcia, through the Department of Education and crew, who heads Megía Pilar, has asked the Ministry of Education a grant of 554,726 euros to tackle improvement works that can carry out the removal of architectural barriers in public schools in the municipality of Murcia.
The Governing Board of the City of Murcia has given the green light this morning at the request of that contribution.
The works of architectural barriers, which are to be taken in different schools in neighborhoods and districts of the municipality, will focus on the installation of lifts, ramps, gates and doors; adequacy of various spaces, installation of handrails and railings, and adapt the toilets of educational buildings, primary and special education.
