Tuesday June 10, the Festival is presenting challenges Point of mankind, a book containing four challenges for today's society, AIDS and other diseases in developing countries, structural violence in Latin America, Prostitution, and Natural Resources in Africa and that the reporter from La Vanguardia Bru Rovira, has been published recently in the magazine.
The book, which begins a new collection of texts of the Festival Punto Aparte "2Tintas Collection" is illustrated with screenshots from the Bru and Juan Calos Tomasi.
The presentation, accompanied by a talk about the reporter and the role of the media, will participate Bru Rovira and director of the Magazine Josep Carles Rius.
Since its second edition, the Festival comes full stop publishing a book in every one of its editions as part of its programming, in an attempt to capture in black and white, the stories, people and the tragedies of this humble festival echoes each year in its bid to join contemporary culture and peripheral, with the commitment and social debate that is essential in these times where utopias begin to falter.
"Theatre of rage", brought together in 2005, unpublished texts actor, playwright and director Pippo Delbono, in a book illustrated with photographs by Jean Louis Fernandez, who was awarded the Prix Daniel Gil, and is the first book in Spanish on the work of this important Italian theater company.
"Cruel Sea" in 2006, was the drama of immigration under the eyes and devoid of props committed photographers Juan Medina, Tony and Rafael Mejías Marchante of Reuters.
"If there is no wind to paddle," was the title published in the 2007 edition, a book-object sought to rescue from oblivion the work of photographer Asensio Rodríguez Cartagena "Yiyo" and explain their relationship, vital and Alberto García Alix.
This year, in its 2008 edition, dedicated to the subversive, the festival wants to ensure consistency between this series of titles, and under the name 2Tintas start a collection of books, year after year, make up what we hope is a set of large documentary value, which manages to convey the personality of the festival.
We do this to "Challenges of humanity", a series of reports reporter for La Vanguardia Bru Rovira, illustrated with photographs of himself Bru Rovira and Juan Carlos Tomasi, colleagues and travel, friends, professional excellence and above all, subversive.
