• The Department is launching a brigade to stop graffiti in schools
• This summer work will be undertaken in 42 schools
As usual, the city of Murcia, through the Department of Education and Personal, directed Pilar Megía, devotes a significant sum of money to plan repairs, improvement and maintenance of public schools in the municipality of Murcia.
This year, the Department of Education will allocate two million euros for maintenance activities, improvement and repair of 52 schools in the neighborhoods and districts of the municipality.
This pace of work and commitment, the Department of Education will be performed in all schools (116).
In relation to last year, the difference is substantial because the investment has increased (577,314.2 euros more than in 2007), and has increased the number of centers in which to act (the last year were made performances at 22 sites).

The work to be done in these centers will focus on repairing interior and exterior architectural barriers, rehabilitation of ramps, replacement of the sewerage and water, repair plants and classroom lighting, repairs maintenance on heating, fitness environment patios, electrical performance, replacement of electrical systems and adaptation of false ceilings, among other actions more.
The works will be undertaken during the holiday period are those corresponding to a total of 42 sites, since the rest have been doing so far this exercise.
Education-School Partnership Workshop

"Attack on graffiti"
Stop graffiti that disfigure the facades of the schools in the municipality of Murcia is another challenge that has marked the Minister of Education and Personal, Pilar Megía.
Thus, last October 2007 launched a brigade specializing in the removal of these painted in schools.
From October to December 12,656.54 euros were spent on products for the work of painters, and during the first quarter of 2008, have consumed 9,000 euros in paint and other auxiliary materials.
Also, the Department of Education plans to spend about 36,000 euros in paint to stop graffiti in schools until the end of the year, which means cleaning the facades of some 28 schools around.
So far have spent more than 1,651 liters of paint smooth stone facade with which it has been painted facades 4,128 meters square, and used 150 liters of synthetic enamel paint, which have been able to paint 450 square meters fences, trellises, railings and other metal elements.
In total we have spent 1,701 liters of paint and have painted facades squares 4,578 meters, fences, railings and other metal elements.
In terms of interventions focusing on benches and bins, which have been painted out and 116 banks and 172 bins of 25 schools, thus completing the entire painting of benches and bins of the 116 schools, the total of 1,200 to 1,117 paper banks.
