The Mayor, accompanied by several council members of the government team, did not want to miss today "photo solidarity" sponsored by the Association of Cystic Fibrosis Murcia to boost organ donation.
Cystic fibrosis is a chronic disease that today has no cure and affects mostly the lungs, kidneys, liver and heart.
Therefore, the Association Against Cystic Fibrosis Murcia has more than 10 years campaigning to raise awareness and mentalizing society about the importance of donating organs.
This year, for the first time, this group, chaired by Maria José Plana, has organized the "picture of solidarity" in various agencies and institutions to promote donation.
In Murcia this disease is present in a hundred families.
Moreover, before the end of the year can be opened the first national center for cystic fibrosis Spain, whose construction is nearing completion.
The center, located in El Palmar, stands on a plot donated by the City for this purpose, a fact that the Mayor has confessed to feeling very proud.
