Murcia City Council and the Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Immigration renew the agreement to co-finance the development of projects related to the Social Action Plan for the Elderly, Gerontological Plan-2008.
The Governing Board has given approval to the proposal and budget which provides for implementation this year.
This program includes three projects:
Caregiver Training for Seniors with Special Needs Personal Care
Coexistence Between Generations Program
Temporary Accommodation Programme for the Elderly with Families
The municipal financial contribution of 21,700 euros is 25% - while the Autonomous assumes 75% 65,100 euros.
The total project amount 86,800 euros.
The Department of Social Welfare puts a special emphasis on activities and programs for seniors, and therefore these plans are developed in recent years.
Recently completed with a closing ceremony, the Coexistence Between Generations program, while the course is developing the training program for caregivers.
Moreover, the Board of Governors has approved an expenditure of 30,555 euros to develop the project activities in the Municipal Day Care Centers.
