People with hearing disabilities have a mediator to conduct their proceedings in the City (04/06/2008)

With the objective of providing better service to citizens, the City of Murcia, through personal service, has made available to hearing impaired people the figure of a mediator, whose role is focused on streamlining procedures these people have to do with local government.

Mediation in different care services to citizens is carried out by an official of the City of Murcia, José Manuel Muñoz Lechuga specifically, a connoisseur of sign language in addition to which, by his official capacity, has a great knowledge about activity that takes place in local government.

Moreover, it should be noted that the City Council of Murcia are offering sign language courses to officials, framed within the common goal of providing additional training to enable to give a quality service to citizens.
