The Mayor of Murcia, Miguel Angel House today presented the Missionary Sisters of Charity of the funding for the Mercury Prize, a distinction that was granted a few days ago the mayor by Sardinero Mercury Group.
Miguel Angel House has emphasized "the extraordinary social work, relief, support and assistance needed to develop, the love and affection accorded to the underserved and to instill hope among those who need"
The Mercury Sardinero distinguished group with its annual award to the Mayor of Murcia on the "important work that has been playing in pro Murcia society in all respects, and in particular, with regard to the Spring Festival."
The Mercury Prize is awarded each year to personalities of the region that has outstanding talent and relevance in the life of society Murcia.
