Murcia City Council has also transferred to the Ministry of Education a plot to build a new public school in the district
The Mayor of Murcia, Miguel Ángel Cámara, this morning attended the opening of the expansion of the Early Childhood Center and Primary Juan XXIII, located on the seafront Dukes of Lugo in the Rane.
This expansion, with a budget of around € 800,000, will benefit about 600 students at the school.
The new school facilities have six units, a dining room and a gym, spread out over a total area of over 1,000 square meters.
Murcia City Council made available to the Ministry of Education and Culture, in July 2006, a municipal land in the Ranero to allow the extension of John XXIII's public school district.
The property transferred has a size of 5,000 square meters, which has allowed the center to have a large space in which to create new classrooms and facilities for students.
The Governing Board of the City of Murcia also approved in September 2006, the transfer from one field to the Ministry of Education and Culture that will allow the district Rane has a new school.
It is currently finalizing the work of this center that will open its doors next year.
The site occupies an area of 4,515 square meters and is situated on Avenida Miguel de Cervantes with Swan Street.
This school will be public and students can access it and Primary Education.
More assignments
In recent years, the City Council has made available to the Community the land required to build various preschools and primary schools in Santiago and Zaraíche and James the Greater, and three other school next to Atocha, one next to the Bethlehem School another in the Avenida de Europa.
With these assignments the Council aims to meet the needs of schoolchildren in kindergarten and primary levels of the urban area.
