Following the line of actions to improve citizen service provided by the City of Murcia, the Deputy Mayor of Finance, Joaquin Moya-Angeler, today officially opened the new premises of the Municipal Bureau of Statistics, located Nitrate in the Garden city of Murcia.
It has installed a new counter, has created a waiting room and changed the furniture in the premises in its entirety.
Thus, with the intention to further develop and streamline the service offered to citizens in the Municipal Bureau of Statistics, the Department has decided to extend the hours of the citizen, by opening the office in the afternoon, namely 16 to 19 hours, Monday through Wednesday throughout the year except during inaugural festivities.
The appointment service via the Internet is another innovation that is incorporated into the Municipal Bureau of Statistics.
Those interested in a process, without having to take numbers in the same premises, may apply for the moment through the Internet and by phone.
The new queuing machine that was launched earlier this year-the first to be installed in care of the City of Murcia will be the one to enable the management of appointments made by the City Council website Murcia (www.murcia.es).
According to Deputy Mayor of Finance "what we want with these new initiatives is to eliminate queues at the same time we want to offer a service that gives greater facilities to the citizens."
The machine features a touch screen and presented four options for the treatment of certain documents.
The options are:
High from abroad, change of address and flyers.
Change of address within the municipality.
High from other municipalities.
Withdrawals from abroad.
It is recalled that since the implementation of queue management system has achieved greater specialization grant from the Office staff, as for each of the options with a worker.
The public service receives daily an average of 400 people during the morning, so with the addition of these new improvements will be a greater division of labor which, undoubtedly, will result in improvement of citizens and workers.
