Members of the center of Bacons Bridge over yesterday celebrated World Book Day.
From 16 to 21 hours were carried out many activities related to books and reading, with the assistance of about 100 people.
The events began with the reading of books by diverse as Benito Pérez Galdós, Blasco Ibáñez, García Lorca, Pio Baroja and Azorín.
Some people chose poetic texts.
Among the participants were young, the elderly and a group of immigrants from Africa.
The talk was followed by 'The value of reading', by Cecilia Esteban Albert, the association ACDEMUR.
After this event, attendees witnessed a play and it showed two short, one of Miguel de Cervantes and the other on Don Quixote.
To end the afternoon, he read several excerpts from Don Quixote.
The event was attended by young students of the University of Murcia Almudena Marco and Isabella Berciano, the Board of the Senior Center, the Center for Adult Education, Library and the Bacons Bridge Club Senior Reading.
This initiative has been supported by the Department of Social Welfare, Gender Equality Policies and Citizenship of the City of Murcia, directed by Maria del Carmen Pelegrin.
