Expoflora 2008 has shown, once again, the high level of professionalism of the florist in the Region of Murcia.
Last days 18.19 and 20 held the Fourteenth Expoflora Fair-Murcia, located first in the Plaza Santo Domingo in the center of the city of Murcia.
It was there, as usual, with the presence of plant material companies, both producers and wholesalers of cut flowers and ornamental plants, but this edition had as its main objective to inform the Murcia excellent production of flowers and plants in the Region of Murcia.
Companies florist and garden center had a large presence at the fair, showing the decoration of their stands the high level of professionalism with florists in the Region of Murcia.
The Ministry of Economy, Enterprise and Innovation, through the Directorate General of Commerce and Handicrafts, favored the presence of different artisans who exhibited products related to the world of floral art, such as glass and ceramics.
The artisans were Martín García Lario, renowned ceramicist who has reinterpreted the traditional pottery of current design; Lario Pérez Martín, potter potter is a current line and colorful, Francisco Tudela Cayuela, specialist craftsman garden planters, the glazier Jose Reina, expert Vetroglass glass cutter, artisan company that operates mainly in the stretch blow glass.
To further achieve the main objective of the fair, organized a series of parallel activities to raise awareness of the general public various types of floral art and gardening:
Modeling demonstration bonsai, where North coach Alfredo attendees introduced in some of their techniques.
Lecture-discussions on urban gardening, with Ginés Ortiz, who explained to stakeholders opportunities to have a garden or terrace in the city in good condition with adequate plant material and facilities effective.
Ikebana Demonstration with teacher Yoko Maeda.
This demonstration was well attended, as the ikebana art is a great interest.
Glass-blowing demonstration by artisans Vetroglass, who was constantly surrounded by people interested in knowing the spectacular techniques for working the material.
Demonstration of traditional pottery around, by the craftsman Martín García Lario.
Was the most popular with children, who were even able to use the lathe and follow guidelines for developing ceramic parts for themselves.
Large floral art show "The flowers give life forever."
Some of the florists at the fair, visitors came not only floral art, but easy manipulation of the flower to enjoy them at home.
The participants were: José Luis Caravaca (Florist San Lorenzo), Pedro Navarro (Florist Peter Navarro), David Tortosa (Santi-Bridge Florist Tocinos), Constance and Ana Vidal (Flower Petals-Lorca), Maribel and Paco (FlorHistería) and Mary Andreu (Pepi-Cuevas Florist Reyllo).
In addition, the X Trofeo Mercamurcia called the Quality and Innovation in Ornamental Horticulture, which acknowledges the producers, both plant and flower, the effort involved in constantly improving its product quality to provide excellent, apart from running introducing new varieties, crops and invest in important technical resources.
A total of 62 varieties of flowers and plants from all over the region of Murcia, in the contest.
The jury was composed of representatives of both the production and marketing sector, and the Instituto Murciano Research and Agricultural Development and Food (IMIDA).
