The Department of Tourism, Maria Isabel Valcárcel directing, supported the convening of the General Assembly of European Euro-Toques chefs in Murcia in 2010.
Valcárcel has met with the CEO of Euro-Toques in the Region, Antonio Rodríguez and Jecomur president, Juan Pedro Espinosa.
Espinosa Rodriguez and Maria Isabel expressed its intention to propose Valcárcel Murcia as a candidate city to host the VII General Assembly of Euro-Toques in 2010.
The General Assembly convened in Murcia over 200 prestigious chefs from across Europe.
Among other things, the Assembly will address issues related to nutrition, cooking Murcia and natural products.
At the same time, would be used to promote the products of the region.
The president of Euro-Toques in Spain's Pedro Subijana and is honorary president Juan Mari Arzak, the two founders of the association.
Euro-Toques, which was founded in 1986 in Brussels, includes more than 3,500 chefs from 18 countries.
