Murcia City Council and the Association of Families and Mental Illness (AFES) have signed an agreement by which people develop the Social Educator Program for Chronic Mental Illness.
The goal is to work for integration and rehabilitation of people affected by chronic mental illness, through the intervention of specialist social workers that can increase the quality of life and autonomy of these patients.
The project aims at enhancing the resources and abilities of the mentally ill as citizens integrated into a community, and achieve greater participation and responsibility in taking care of each one of them.
Remember that last year the City gave a plot of 240 square meters, next to the Local Development Agency, to build its headquarters AFES.
