Responsible for different service areas (IT, Public Lighting, Climate, Urban Planning, Treasury, Mobile Park, Industrial Services ...) have met to review the PRO-EE project in detail and choose the first five products that include a concept of energy efficiency .
Engineers have determined that, due to their needs and characteristics, these five products will, in this order, public lighting, air conditioning, computer equipment, energy products in public buildings and the renovation of the fleet for other hybrid vehicles.
Thus, the different procurement will include the condition that they are energy efficient equipment and products.
This will launch a permanent energy savings, with consequent effects on climate protection, supporting green labeling.
All these details were presented yesterday at the information days on the introduction of energy efficiency criteria in the field of public procurement by members of the City Council Environment, the Local Agency for Energy and Climate Change Murcia (ALEM) and the Ecoinstitut of Barcelona (Murcia partner in this project.)
The presentation was attended by political and technical representatives of other municipalities such as Madrid, Alicante, Puerto Lumbreras, Lorca and Cieza, among others, and the Federation of Municipalities of the Region of Murcia.
The experience of the Municipality of Murcia will be exported to other Spanish municipalities, especially those who are part of the Spanish Network of Cities for Climate, but already working the consistory of Barcelona and San Sebastian.
In order to study this project PRO-EE, for today and tomorrow, will be held in the Local Development Agency, a transnational meeting with European partners, attended by representatives of cities such as Frankfurt, Munich, Ferrara , Cascais, Maroussi, Mainz ...
