The Director General of Archives and Libraries Book, Francisco Giménez, delivered this morning from scanned documents of the archive of the Royal and Most Illustrious Brotherhood of Nuestro Padre Jesus Nazareno its president, Rafael Cebrian.
The digitized documents compose 23 documents from its founding in the seventeenth century to the present.
In particular the Constitutions of 1600 and the Founding Act of the same year, 9 councils minute books, 5 books of accounts, 4 inventories, a pious book of memories and 3 fights.
In regard to the historical value of this documentation highlights the presence of the Constitutions of 1600, the first in a penitential fraternity of Murcia, which are preserved in a copy of 1653.
"With the digitization of these documents are open to researchers in particular and the public at large the history of this fraternity that is part of the religious history of our region," said the general director of Books, Archives and Libraries.
Also, Gimenez said the interest of the Department to digitize and make publicly available the archives of religious institutions because in them is part of regional history.
The files can be viewed from today in the Archives and in the guild itself, and soon will be accessible through the websites of both institutions, and thus preserve the original damage.
