The Mayor of Murcia, Miguel Angel House, and President of the Hydrographic Confederation of Segura (CHS), José Salvador Fuentes Zorita, have held this morning for a meeting to promote various projects related to the city, where technicians are working CHS and the city of Murcia.
The meeting, held at the headquarters of the CHS, also attended the Town Planning, Fernando Berberena.
Miguel Angel House, after the meeting, praised the meeting as "very positive and cordial" and remarked that the City of Murcia has maintained in recent years a "wonderful relationship with both the Confederation, as its president."
Among the topics to be addressed include the storm water interceptor that will stop the flooding in the north of the city and provide better service to citizens.
In addition, Mayor House has revealed that arrangements have been made to recover the urban section of the Segura river passing through the city.
So part of the treated water will be channeled down the river upstream to increase the flow of the Segura in Murcia.
On the other hand, will address cleaning work on the runway.
Another issue discussed at the meeting will promote the construction of a cycle track along the river Butte, a San Antonio Catholic University of Murcia with the city.
Murcia City Council and approved last March, the project for the construction of two sections of a large storm water interceptor to stop flooding in the north.
This infrastructure will build on the great boulevard of Churra and end in the river, up to Beniscornia corner, with a total length of 6.8 kilometers.
The first phase of interceptor drains in the north from the roundabout will be built at Juan Carlos I to the North Coast in the prop, to Avenida Juan Carlos I.
This work, which has two sections, has a total length of 600 meters.
