The Department of Culture and European Programs of the City of Murcia, who heads Fátima Barnuevo, continues to expand the documentary sources of the Municipal Network of Libraries of the Municipality of Murcia.

This morning, the Board of Governors has given the green light to a new spending to continue to acquire new publications, some of which are requested by different users of public libraries.

Documentary sources are not only books but also DVDs, CDs and electronic documents, among other materials.

In 2007, the Municipal Network of Libraries of the Municipality of Murcia (comprised of 17 libraries) received a total of 347,809 visits, of which 235,032 were views of readers and other students.

Also, last year, a total of 152,474 home loans.
