On Monday the City Commission seeking prevention, monitoring and control of absenteeism and dropout meets.
This body, established in 2013, is formed by the Councillor for Education, Rafael Gomez, the mayor of Social Rights, Conchita Ruiz, department heads of Social Services, Education, directors of the Municipal Department of Social Services, the Head of Child and Adolescent Social Services, and representatives of the Ministry of Education, schools, students and AMPAS.
The powers of the Commission, which meets every six months, is the issue of reports, proposals and recommendations, shall not be binding;
promote the development of the Municipal Plan of prevention, monitoring and control of absenteeism and dropout, following up and monitoring their implementation;
prevention, monitoring and control of absenteeism and dropout in the municipality;
and classify, analyze and evaluate absenteeism and dropout, among other actions.
