The next Saturday, January 30th, at 19:30 hours, the village of Puebla de Soto will be present at the Mass of Thanksgiving, to be held in Murcia Cathedral, celebrated by Bishop José Manuel Lorca Planes, to be commemorating the 575 anniversary of its foundation, once it acquired the Charter of Population (News of Murcia Puebla), with the assistance of the Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta Germán, together with the President of the Municipal Board and headman of Puebla de Soto, Francisco Zamora Galera.
The Charter of population was granted by the Portuguese noble and royal adviser, Don Alonso Fernandez de Cascales, and ratified by King Juan II of Castile, the December 24, 1440, which led him also creating a new parish, founded by Mercedarios, in honor of the Blessed.
