Murcia Councilman's change Nacho Tornel said today, in relation to the resolution of contracts managed by Intersa, it's time to sit and reflect on the effectiveness of the outsourcing of services and that the City assume the contract of facilities operated by the company to its direct governance.
The company Infrastructure Terrestrial SA (Intersa) enjoyed until last December, when the Commercial Court No. 1 of Murcia agreed to initiate the liquidation of the company, of an administrative concession for 40 years for the construction and operation of two complexes sports, JC1 and Fleet, and three underground car parks.
Tornel has indicated that the ideal now, instead of continuing outsourcing service is that the city of Murcia "learning from experience" and assume management of these facilities, ensuring the proper functioning of these centers and continuity of workers .
According to the mayor, "with a 100% public this would not have happened because the City does not have to depend on the vagaries of a private company at a given time may break, plus private or mixed management is long, much more expensive. "
Similarly, Tornel has criticized the economic rebalancing formula used by the Consistory in cases of administrative concessions related to sports facilities, and that is that the annual losses that can generate the concessionaires will be covered with public money.
For Intersa, money that has been the City Hall since the beginning of the contract in that concept "has been lost without giving any fruit."
"Just saving the business benefit and rebalancing plan, the council, which has the capacity to take over the management of the facilities, it would have avoided some major expenses," he concluded.
