The Municipal Socialist Group will present at the plenary session next week a motion in which he asked for the construction of a new health center in the village of Algezares, in order to solve the lamentable state in which are existing facilities , which also host the Special Emergency Service.

This initiative also supports the Municipal Board of Algezares, with the approval of an amendment to the budget of the Community this week, the Socialist Party believes that this historic claim of the residents of this hamlet may soon be a reality.

To do this, the councilor Begoña García Retegui propose that the House approve culminating the process of giving land intended for construction of the center by the City.

We also urge that the Ministry of Health to give priority to the construction of the facilities, so that in the shortest possible time are actually decent and adequate facilities for Primary Care and Emergency.

The Municipal Socialist Group and in 2014 denounced the sorry state in which the center was with the opening of cracks and constant breakdowns and leaking pipes, to which the appearance of plagues of rats and cockroaches are added.

The medical center is located in a building that does not meet the optimum conditions for providing the services of Primary Care and Emergency that are located there.

In addition, its facilities are insufficient to meet the needs of the inhabitants of Algezares and Garres.

The neighbors began this year a petition calling on the City Council and the Autonomous Community building a new health center.

The Session began the process of transfer of a plot in a plot of more than 5,000 meters located in the north of the village, in the neighborhood of La Rosaleda, to expand its use of equipment that could be transferred to the Autonomous Community the construction of a health center.

Certainly the initial approval was published in the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia (BORM) but, curiously, it speaks of a plot of teaching equipment.

Then nothing more was known.

The reality is that today the neighbors and neighbors Algezares, Garres and dependent districts of the Special Emergency Service located there still being treated in a facility that does not meet the minimum conditions.
