The University of Murcia (UMU) has initiated an information and dissemination process within the Council that aims to establish a series of recommendations designed to facilitate open access to its scientific output.
This has been agreed today in the course of the Governing Council that this institution was held in the building of convalescence, and in which the Vice Chancellor for Research, Antonio Juan Garcia, has exposed the outlines of what could be the institutional statement It will be submitted for approval when the process of collecting suggestions now opening end.
The document notes that these recommendations seek to provide free access to scientific production and at the same time, comply with European and Spanish legislation which they have established.
Moreover, the Council approved the participation of the UMU in a company incorporated to develop the necessary technology and software for application to devices such as "glass" focused on teaching.
UMU has pioneered the development of the educational experiences of the application of the type "google glass" glasses in teaching, which conducted the professor of the Faculty of Medicine Fernando Santonja.
The university governing body has also given its approval to the joint programming of official studies degree in Journalism and Information and Documentation degree.
These joint studies seek to provide additional training to future graduates of the Faculty of Communication and Information to enable them increase their chances of employment.
In its report, the rector, Jose Orihuela, has advanced in the coming days will proceed to the signing of the agreement on the clinical teaching, adding that go on the "agreed address," referring to the linking of certain hospitals to the University Murcia.
