They investigate in the area of ​​health and social care of older people who are dependent in residential care settings and day centers, together with improved training of professionals in the area, are two of the key points of this new Chair created by the Catholic University of Murcia and the Murcia Association of Homes and Services for the Care Sector Solidario Mayores (Lares-Murcia).
In addition, this firm also allow the realization of teaching and research practices for students, and holding seminars or workshops on subject related to the contents of it, among other things.
The agreement was signed by José Luis Mendoza, president of the UCAM, and Sr. Bethlehem Pachon, president of the Murcia Association.
The address will be the same for Carmelo Gomez Martinez, a member of Lares-Murcia and associate professor at the UCAM, who underlined the importance of the Chair in the field of research and training.
"People who work in this environment we need to be highly trained to meet the need, increasingly health within the social framework in which our seniors live," he assured.
