San Antonio Catholic University will be present Wednesday in the opening day of the International Tourism Fair (FITUR).
Six Olympians UCAM in the stand of the Region of Murcia supporting sports tourism as one of its growth engines;
it's Miguel Angel Lopez, world champion race walking;
Ruth Beitia, the Diamond League champion in the high jump;
David Cal, maximum Spanish Olympic medalist;
Joel Gonzalez, Olympic champion in taekwondo;
Brigitte Yagüe, Olympic silver in taekwondo;
and Thaïs Henríquez, double Olympic medalist in synchronized swimming.
At 12:00 pm is planned the act 'Murcia, sporting destination all year' in which Noelia Arroyo, Minister of Culture and Spokesperson, and Juan Hernandez, Minister of Economic Development, Tourism and Employment participate, which will accompanied by Cardinal Miguel, Secretary of State for Sport, and Olympic athletes at the Catholic University of Murcia.
an exhibition about the qualities of the region for sports tourism will be performed, highlighting the excellent climate that is enjoyed throughout the year allowing for holding competitions on different dates.
The organization of sports events by the UCAM Murcia in addition to other tests that works directly, are generating about 10,000 overnight stays per year in this community with the added value that occur out of season.
Moreover, athletes and teams UCAM are valuable to enhance the brand 'Murcia' nationally and internationally active.
