Councilman Employment, Tourism and Culture, Jesus Pacheco, will attend this afternoon to the Assembly of the Network of Cities for the AVE, to apply the requirements for the incorporation of Murcia on this network that seeks to promote the cities that integrate under a common strategy.

"With the imminent arrival of the AVE to our city, the Board of AVE Cities Network Murcia invited to attend its meeting to be held coinciding with the FITUR fair and which are to approve work plans this year, "he stated the mayor.

Pacheco explained that "we need the arrival of the high speed train to Murcia because it is indispensable to host major conferences and more tourists. Also, joining this partnership will allow us to Murcia to be included in the different offered tour packages and facilitate access of visitors to our city and our region. "

AVE Cities Network, which this year celebrates its tenth anniversary, is the association of tourist destinations in Spain connected by high speed created with the aim of promoting the cities that integrate under a common strategy and its two products: the Renfe Spain Pass and Avexperience.

Currently, the Network of Cities AVE consists of the cities of Alcazar de San Juan, Albacete, Alicante, Antequera, Barcelona, ​​Calatayud, Ciudad Real, Cordoba, Cuenca, Elche, Granada, Leon, Lleida, Madrid, Malaga, Ourense Palencia, Puertollano, Segovia, Seville, Talavera de la Reina, Tarragona, Toledo, Valencia, Valladolid, Villanueva de Córdoba, Villena and Zaragoza.
