What certainties we have about Jesus of Nazareth or to what extent are reliable sources about their figure are some of the questions which will attempt to answer the specialist in early Christianity Antonio Piñero during a lecture to be given on Monday at the University of Murcia .
Antonio Piñero, emeritus professor of Greek Philology at the Complutense University and author of numerous books and hundreds of articles on Apocrypha of the Old and New Testament, Gnostic texts and context and tradition of the New Testament, is one of the most authoritative voices in the country to address these issues.
In addition, Professor Piñero is best known for his role as a communicator;
regular contributor on radio and television and creator of two blogs that recorded more than 2,000 hits a day.
The conference, entitled "Jesus of history. Balance and perspectives of current research" will be held at 19:30 pm in the Conference Hall of the Faculty of Arts, campus of Merced.
