The City Council has approved two grants that will, firstly, help fund the delivery of the International Baccalaureate Secondary School Alfonso X the Wise and, second, in carrying out a program of visits to the Aquarium University of Murcia.
The total amount of both aid amounts to 11,000 euros
The Department of Education, University Relations and Heritage has granted a direct IES Alfonso X the Wise grant, which will maintain the teaching International Baccalaureate, which is the only authorized in the town center that offers these teachings.
This collaboration with the training center will allow students Murcia, in addition to obtaining the ordinary title of national high school, might arise for the Diploma International prestigious title worldwide
Moreover, the Council has given its approval to the registered grant the Aquarium of the University of Murcia in return for carrying out visits to the same school of the first cycle of primary education and in order to maintain the proper functioning of the facilities.
For this course 2015/16 Aquarium has allocated 29 days for school visits Murcia, representing a total of approximately 2,580 schools, providing free admission for schoolchildren and their teachers, carrying out educational tours guided by the installation technicians and delivery of training materials.
The University of Murcia owns Aquarius located on the premises of the Artillery Barracks, single exposure of this type exists in the municipality.
