The Association of Outdoor Advertising assume all costs of removal and transfer both to the corresponding municipal landfill
The Mayor, José Ballesta has signed an agreement this morning with the president of the Murcia Association of Outdoor Advertising, Joaquín Manzanera, to realize the withdrawal of more than 400 billboards in the street and in 150 municipal lots.
As it announced by the Mayor, José Ballesta, one of the main strategic thrusts of the policy of the City of Murcia is "to improve the image of the municipality, its main access, maintain cleanliness of the city and resolve issues and problems that existed long ".
For this reason, this morning the Town Planning, Environment and Huerta, Antonio Navarro, has sent a notice to the owners of billboards ordering the withdrawal thereof within a period of 15 days, as it is fences that are not licensed.
If the owners do not come to the removal of fences, will be the Murcia Association of Outdoor Advertising Companies which shall, at no cost to the City, the withdrawal of the same, thanks to the signing of this agreement .
Thus, Ballesta has announced that in the first months of 2016 "this problem will be solved completely, because this corporation is rigorous compliance with the law and respect the rules of the rule of law".
The first hurdles to be removed are those situated around Isla Grossa square, to continue existing in Juan Carlos I and Juan de Borbon, as well as other access to the city.
The agreement will remove advertising elements without legal cover located on municipal land referred to in case of breach of the requirement to be made to the holders of such items located on municipally owned land.
