The Mayor delivered the trophies to the winners, who have agreed to the regional final to be held in March.
School Sports campaign this year has more than 41,000 participants from 135 schools, practicing 18 sports.
More than 1,500 children from 65 schools competed this morning at the end of Cross City held in Monte Romero Stadium Espinardo, within the program of Sport in the City of Murcia Age School.
The tests, which have started at 10 am, have been held in baby, juvenile, infant, cadet and youth categories, both male and female, with a distance of between 500 and 4250 meters, depending on the age of the participants, from 8-17 years.
The Mayor, José Ballesta, accompanied by the Councillor for Sports and Health, Felipe Coello, has seen the development of the competition, which brought together a large audience at the Monte Romero Stadium.
The first and second place of each race has accessed the regional final, to be held in Lorca on March 4.
The Cross is part of the program Municipal Sports School Age organized by the municipality of Murcia, this course has 41,350 participants from 135 schools in the municipality.
