Since a proposal for the recovery of the ditch by Raal Old Neighborhood Association of Llano de Brujas and Murcia Huerta Viva, and approved by the full council of Murcia September, both associations have presented on December 9 the Department of Planning, Environment and Huerta a draft recovery and enhancement of this ditch.
The wording has been in charge of a multidisciplinary team and with the participation of the neighborhood association with the intent to prevent the destruction of this historic canal of Llano de Brujas and to see the cultural and environmental values ​​that have the traditional irrigation network the garden of Murcia.
The initiative was born following the destruction in May another section of the canal where there was a rich biodiversity with protected species such as poplar and willow.
