The Cloister of the Merced campus will host until next December 22 the exhibition "Evolution of Commercial Companies in Spain (1886-1936)", which has commissioned Professor of Economics at the University of Murcia Susana Martinez Rodriguez.
The sample analyzed, based on images, the legal framework in which business activity developed during that period, the number of these developments and the sectors associated with each legal type of corporation.
In addition, some episodes of industrial upgrading are illustrated in the Region of Murcia, including the development of the canning industry and the textile industry, the impact of mining or the arrival of the railroad.
The exhibition, which has itinerant character, is based on a research project funded by the Seneca Foundation, which said Professor studies the effect of the Spanish mercantile legislation on economic development in the period 1886-1936.
