The X'Murcia Photo Contest, ethnography, culture and tradiciones' has already winners (08/12/2015)

Juan Miguel Ortuño Mendez Muñoz Cosme Ortega, Paula Noya, Antonio Costa and Jesus Cartagena have received awards for his work.

An exhibition that you can visit in the Space Molinos del Rio Stables, until next February, collects the best pictures

The X Photo Contest 'Murcia, ethnography, culture and traditions' that organizes the Department of Employment, Tourism and Culture through the Space Molinos del Rio Stables has already winners

More than fifty photographers have participated in this competition held since 2005 being over sixty awards that have been granted and hundreds of photographs that have been part of it.

Councilman Employment, Tourism and Culture, Jesus Pacheco, explained that this contest "is a magnificent archive of our territory and our cultural heritage, both tangible and intangible".

The winners in this edition were Juan Miguel Ortuño Mendez Muñoz Cosme Ortega, Paula Noya, Antonio Costa and Jesus Cartagena.

Juan Miguel Ortuño, first prize in the form A which was this year 'Traditional architecture', presented a series of four photographs of rural chapels of Yecla.

Muñoz Cosme Ortega, second prize in the same category A, has also presented a series of four photographs of Cuckoo Tinajones one of the best preserved town of Jumilla and fine example of architecture in dry stone.

The jury awarded a special mention of the photographs presented by José Manuel Corbalan Sanchez, entitled 'Albero.

The first prize in Category B, current ethnographic photography, has been for Paula Noya won with a photograph of a drummer of Moratalla.

The second prize in the form B has been to the Tangled photography, Antonio Costa Perez reflecting the time of collection networks in the late night, after returning to port and meticulous work continued maintenance of networks.

In mode C, historical photography, second prize winner, as the former was deserted, Cartagena was Jesus Cuevas, owner of the picture 'The bus line', taken in Camachos Square, in the city of Murcia, circa 1950

The jury of this edition was chaired by the Councillor for Employment, Tourism and Culture, Jesus Pacheco, and formed by Manuel Fernández-Delgado, Chief Service Museums;

Juan Carlos Cartagena, architect;

Juanchi Lopez, photographer, and Foulquié Carmen Hernandez, director of the Space Molinos río_ Mews.

Among the photographers selected by the jury and whose photos can be seen in the exhibition which opened at the Molinos Space River are, among others, Nestor Lison, María Manzanera, Rosa Mª Ferrer, Jesus Cartagena, Ana Bernal, Francisco Juan Mellado Pedro López Piñero, Jesus Martinez, Natalia Palazón, Isabel María Roca, Gabriel Nicolas, Francisco Javier Sandoval, José Miñano Rafael E. Ballesteros, Francisco J. Asuncion, Javier Domenech, Emilio Jose Aleman, Alfonso Leandro, Salvador Garcia Julia ...

The exhibition will remain open until next February.

In January 2016 a new edition of this contest will be convened, and, according to Pacheco, "the will of the Space Molinos río_Caballerizas is to continue this collaborative effort, documentation and dissemination of our cultural heritage through photography, in addition to providing our grain of sand to the National Plans of Cultural Heritage of the Ministry of Culture ".
