Develop and promote activities and projects in the field of medical sciences and health is the basis of the agreement signed between the Catholic University of Murcia and the Royal Academy of Medicine and Surgery of the region.
It is a framework agreement which provides for cooperation in research, promoting scientific exchanges, development of training programs for research personnel or symposia or cycles.
The agreement was signed by José Luis Mendoza, president of the UCAM, and Manuel Clavel Nolla-Sainz, president of the Royal Academy, who underlined the importance of knowledge transfer between the two institutions.
The event also featured Estrella Nunez, Vice President for Research, for whom schools are cradle of science, which is why universities are linked to them.
"We are enhancing much the area of ​​medicine and health in general, and this agreement gives rise to our young people interact with the Academy, they can attend events with renowned scientists as recently gave Dr. Izpisua" has Star Núlez added.
One of the first actions that collects the agreement is the provision, by the Academy, a lecture on "History, science and art of Orthopedic Surgery ', to be attended by students of the Degree in Medicine, University Catolica de Murcia.
