The Board of Governors approved the specifications for contract works on adapting and extending Espinardo library to be opened in the JC1 sports complex.
The objective of this action is to improve and expand reading services and public information since the previous library shared space with the Espinardo social center for 25 years and was considered necessary transfer.
The new library will occupy the first and second floor of the interior building with access from the street Monsignor Jose Manuel Lorca Planes, with an area of ​​over 676 square meters, compared to the current 273 square meters.
On the first floor the children's section for children up to 13 years, and loan information service, management and technical processing department is located.
Meanwhile, on the second floor the youth section will be enabled (from 14 years) and adults, plus service and loan information.
The works, in which more than 69,000 euros will be invested and which will run for two months, basically consist in matching the data and electrical wiring and air conditioning.
