Councilman Employment, Tourism and Culture, Jesus Pacheco, announced this morning the creation of the Council of Festivities aimed agree all actions and subjects of the various celebrations, parades and other events held in the city.
Pacheco explained that "we intend so everything about our holidays and traditions is agreed between stakeholders in order to plan activities that will please everyone."
The mayor added that "we want a festival where innovation brings together with maintaining traditions but that all possible changes that can be done to improve them are the result of consensus"
The first meetings of the Council be held next January and will involve, in addition to representatives of major groups festive, other sectors such as catering, tourism and neighborhood.
This new advisory body will allow to study in detail all the details (like parades, logistics and infrastructure, days of celebration and other performances) of Spring Festival, Feria de Murcia, Christmas and other cultural events such as Easter, by organizing specific to each of the events tables.
