The reality of climate change in the region, future scenarios and opportunities to accelerate the shift towards a low-carbon economy and fossil fuels are the issues that focus the conference held on Saturday, day 28, University of Murcia organized by the New Partnership for Climate Culture.
The conference, titled "Faces of Climate", will be held in the Conference Hall of the Faculty of Arts, Merced campus, and will consist of a series of testimonies and short presentations by farmers, doctors, observers of social exclusion and energy poverty.
Also, teachers intervene at the University of Murcia and UPCT investigating in various fields related to climate change, as predictions of future in the region, the use of energy, the role of soils, the potential of organic farming , green infrastructure or vision of ethical banking, among others.

Parallel to the presentations, the courtyard of the Merced campus will host this Saturday from 11:00 to 21:00 hours, a fun and festive event for the public at large with plenty of activities such as games, documentaries, exhibitions, theater and storytelling.
The day will also include recycling workshops, exhibition of green cars, music session and installing a food truck that will serve healthy food.
This activity is part of the World March for Climate Sunday November 29, event to be held simultaneously in thousands of cities around the world to ask world leaders the next day meet in Paris to begin negotiating the next global climate agreement, to act against climate change.
In Murcia, the march at 12:00 hours, will start from the Plaza Circular, will cross the Gran Via and end in Plaza de Belluga.
