The City Council, at its meeting in November, has unanimously approved the record start recognition of the sculptor Francisco Liza as Favorite Son of Murcia.
The sculptor, born in Guadeloupe and died last November 10, made about 90 sizes of images that are in various churches in the region and helped conduct the altarpiece of the Shrine of Fuensanta.
During his career he worked in the workshops of the most famous sculptors and painters Murcia, Juan Gonzalez Moreno, José Sánchez Lozano, Luis Garay and Antonio Carrion, among others
Now, different brotherhoods both as Javalí Guadalupe Viejo have endorsed recognition as Favorite Son.
Similarly, in the Plenary of the Municipal Board of Guadalupe, and unanimously by all political groups, the appointment of Son of the hamlet of Liza remembered.
