"Andalusian Murcia (711-1243). Everyday Life" is the title of the book that the professor of the University of Murcia Maria Martinez just released Scientarum Carbolic Academy (The Finnish Academy of Science and Letters).
The book will be presented at the Cajamurcia Foundation, Museo Santa Clara, Juan Abellán Pérez, Professor of Medieval History at the University of Cadiz, and the Mayor of Murcia José Ballesta Germán, on 20 November at 19.30 hours.
The publication includes unpublished or poorly researched the Islamic past of Murcia issues.
The written and archaeological data combined and interpreted as revealing the daily life in the Andalusian Murcia.
The work examines the landscapes and urban and rural settings and what were its hallmarks, through food, the way they dress and their coexistence with other social groups-Christians and Jews who lived in the medina.
The book is illustrated with some of the most important findings of Mursi culture, which the author has rescued with the explicit goal of "spreading the legacy of al-Andalus in our history and culture."
