The City of Murcia, through the Department of Sports and Health, which runs Felipe Coello, the Murcia Sports Club Challenge and the Federation of Mountain region of Murcia, has organized the first edition of the half marathon mountain night, called ' Anibal Epic Trail, which will take place on Saturday November 21.
The sporting event, explained Felipe Coello, "is a night race comprising exactly 21,097 km 1,300 meters accumulated in mountain terrain, walking or cross-country trails at night and has its outlet in the sports center Verdolay of Holy Angel at 19:00 hours. "
Coello has argued that, with this half marathon, "we want to promote sports among our young people as a form of alternative entertainment and build a climate of encounter between the participants and the natural environment and their protection and knowledge."
One of the main objectives of the test, which takes about 5 hours, according to Coello said, is "to present our natural and historic Regional Park 'El Valle' spaces, through the world of running."
The park has special protection areas for birds and sites of Community interest, both forms of protection at European level.
During his tour, the rope of the mountain, you can see both the garden of the Segura river on one side as the field of Cartagena to the sea on the other.
The reasons for the Hannibal Epic Trail are several, attending cultural content, sports, tourism and social:
