The University of Murcia today initiates the opening of the course of jewelry to be held on the floor of the Faculty of Arts, Merced campus, due to the proximity of San Eloy, patron of silversmiths.
This first conference will be headed by Professor Elena Conde, who, at 17:00, will speak on "Jewels and depredations of the Roman emperors."
This day, which they will involve the course director, Jesus Rivas, and the Dean of the Faculty, Pascual Cantos, also will feature the conference, at 19:00, Professor Germain Ramallo offer on "goldsmithing Visigoth ".
The course will continue until 24 November, while the next day will be held the presentation of a book on studies of silverware.
Most festival will be held on November 26, day of the patron, which will, among other activities, with the procession of San Eloy, which depart from the Merced campus to go to the church of St. Bartholomew, where they worship an image the holy work of Salzillo.
