"Murcia is a pioneer in HIV prevention among young people through a project born of Red Cross and being developed in the municipality and in the region for over a decade," said the Mayor, José Ballesta, in the opening of the XXVIII National Conference "Addiction, HIV and Prisons" held in the city until Thursday.
The project started doing continuous monitoring younger and even children born as carriers of the disease, recalled Ballesta, who also stressed that today still "working against drug dependence and HIV providing innovative measures and new campaigns ".
In his speech, the Mayor also had words of thanks to Red Cross for "your commitment and dedication to make well those who suffer addictions or are infected with diseases related to alcohol intake."
