Referring to the UCAM, Nacho Tornel, Murcia's change councilor has called on the mayor to the City Ballesta not cooperate with public resources and political support "to institutions that represent a morality that undermines fundamental rights of individuals".
The mayor was speaking in reference to the statements of the president of the UCAM, José Luis Mendoza, in the opening ceremony of the academic year of the university in which the latter quoted the "so-called homosexual marriage as an abomination in the eyes of God".
To Tornel, it is particularly serious when occurring at a university level words and should have been answered by the Secretary of State for Justice, Carmen Sánchez-Cortés, attended the event and the Minister of Education and Universities.
"He has not said in casual conversation but at the inauguration of the academic year before the representative of the Secretariat of State and Justice, I should have replicated Mendoza can not break laws," he added.
From the municipalist training claim that it endorse institutional support and public resources institutions that promote moral attitudes that are beyond our legal framework, to enclose political positions against the respect for the rights of people required by the Constitution, it is "a great mistake ".
