The University of Murcia has installed "smart" lights on the outside of the campus of Espinardo, who base their technology on low-power devices by incorporating a system of self-regulation of the intensity of the occupation of the track.
This system, which allows the manipulation of lighting from a computer, tablet or smartphone by area, times and dates, detecting failures and monitoring environmental parameters, is part of a project of the University of Murcia to reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions on their campuses.
On the other hand, the educational institution has awarded the contract for the air conditioning of a part of the Lecture Hall of the Merced campus Continental MHAC the company, amounting to 143,385 euros, almost 40% less than tender budget.
The new climate, funded by ERDF funds for adaptation to European Higher Education Area, following energy efficiency criteria and adapt the operation of the air conditioning or heating to the actual occupancy of the building.
