The City of Murcia, through the Department of Sports and Health, has launched this morning the first Animal Welfare Commission of municipality.

Councilman Felipe Coello chaired the meeting which was attended by Maruja Pelegrin, the Municipal People;

Maite Espinosa Municipal Socialist Group;

Francisca Perez, Citizens;

Luis Alberto Bermejo, from now Murcia and Margarita Guerrero, Murcia's change.

This will give fulfillment to the agreement of the plenary last September in which the creation of this workshop was determined.

The commission will consider the appointment of Murcia town of sacrifice as 0, will launch awareness campaigns and analyze the system of penalties for abandoning or mistreating animals
